This weekend kicked me into February with the promise of great hang outs with friends, wonderful listening ears as I completed the hardship of leaving my dance program, and then the excitement of being FREE again. How many times in ones life do you get the opportunity to do whatever the heck you want all day long? I'm embracing it now more than ever...
On Wednesday I had a fabulous day out with Kaylynn, wandering Namdaemun in search of goodies and just being entertained by people watching.
We tried out Wang Thai and it was Deeee-licious! I had the spicy version of the coconut chicken and lemongrass soup. It took me back to our vacation in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the flavors melding so wonderfully, so rich.
Kaylynn makes a great date in the city;) I am so glad I am getting to know her better, and still keeping my mind and heart open to new "friends", had I not, I would have missed this gem of a gal!
Thursday was my final day of dance, so I did a little dance of my own in the kitchen and had a glass of champagne, then immediately put in Sex and the City which ALWAYS cheers me up.
On Friday I tried out my first hot yoga class in YEARS with Kate and Jo. It was challenging, but relaxing too. I love the feeling of sweat running down my face and limbs, struggling to complete a move~ it has really enabled me to focus the rest of this week on my goals at hand.
Saturday I brought dinner to my house again. We have been cracking down on excess spending in our house, and trying to only splurge when we absolutely must. We have an expensive next couple of months ahead, and without a second income now, its time to get thrifty!
Lucky for us our friends are understanding and are all going through similar situations.
I decked the table out in our "lovely" theme for Valentine's day and we had tasty turkey burgers, roasted cauliflower and a chopped salad. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor, not to mention a few glasses of vino;)
We got our party frocks on and held a little photo shoot (naturally):
Sassy girls, silly girls
Pretty girls,
Ridiculous girls!
We went to the fundraiser for Hamlet at Rocky Mountain Tavern and enjoyed some fabulous live music, including the Red Hot Kimchi Peppers, who cover Red Hot Chili Peppers songs. I can not quite get over the fun I had on Saturday, it was one of those fabulous evenings, out in the city I love with one of my best girls...
Seoul (and Kate) you are so full of fun and magic. I love this time of my life!

Red Hot Kimchi Peppers ~ I love it! :D
ReplyDeleteLove the dinner in and then going out. That looks like so much fun. Just seeing Kate's face makes me miss her! We might have to have a reunion with her and Jo somewhere in our worlds in the future! Glad you are getting out there and taking the world by the horns. You go girl! Xoxo, Christie
