Luncheon Ladies

True friendships are characterized by grace, truth, forgiveness, unselfishness, boundaries, care, and love in gigantic proportion.

I have made terrifically true friendships here in Seoul.  It has been the first place that I have come to understand the depth and benefits of military life, of having a second family to support you no matter where you are.  Whilst I was working, I never had the chance to attend one of the biggest monthly functions for spouses on our base.  Thankfully Victoria ended that for me! She invited my newly-free self to the Armed Forces Spouses Luncheon this Tuesday at the Dragon Hill Hotel.

V runs a booth for her photography before the luncheon begins, along with a few other local businesses.  It was awesome to come and support her gorgeous art and talent.

The company Happy Quilt brought an array of bright fabrics,
I might have fallen in love!  I found the following prints below and couldn't let them go, they came home with me for future projects.

I also discovered a gem at Marisa M. Johnson's stall as well.  Marisa creates gorgeous watercolor paintings and fine art photography.  Her work can be seen at her website.
I have been searching, and searching, and SEARCHING for the perfect cherry blossom print or painting, and I finally found it thanks to Marisa's brilliance! There she is, below.  I love that I was able to meet and thank the artist for her work.

Her watercolor "Spring Night Blues" will be hanging in our boudoir for years to come.

The luncheon was held in one of the ballrooms upstairs, and was decked out with Valentine decor.

The meal itself was not anything to shout about, but I certainly enjoyed the thick chocolate mousse cake!

I also enjoyed catching up with new-found friends like the beautiful Zayda.

Victoria, and Jenica!

There were raffles done at the end, as the luncheon was themed "Fake it, Bake it, or Make it!" and women brought their wares with them.  We were able to put tickets in to try and win.  Our BIG winner was Victoria, she walked away with lovely loot!

It was a great day, thanks for having me, V!
