Finally! The Singapore Slingback has begun!
I have been wanting to recap this adventure for the whole month of January, but I have at last found the time this February...as per usual...it just makes the fun last that much longer;)
My original intent to visit Singa was to see this handsome fellow:
We could be siblings, no? Kase was one of my castmates on Carnival Cruise Lines, and we last spotted him on Ry & I's vacay to his homeland, Australia. He was a wonderful host for us in Queensland, and I was incredibly excited for him to share his new life in Singapore with us;)
Us...this time being the fabulous Christie and I!
These traveling gals packed up and headed out on China Air (and China Eastern), which was the worst Asian airline experience I have had to date. It was made hilarious by my gal pal in tow, so we survived the lack of in-flight movies, good cabin pressure, and hydration. Holy hydration. When we woke up from our disgruntled naps it was like all the water had been sucked from our souls.
Arriving in Singa less than impressively fresh and more like impeccably parched...
It no longer mattered.
We went out to rock out 2013 in city-style!
Kase played the perfect host, taking us to a favorite neighborhood haunt where we danced the night and into the next morning away...
I went to turn my alarm off before finally settling down to sleep and it went off! A full 24 hours had passed! From a snowy walk to the subway to a flight from Seoul, a stop in Beijing and onwards to the warm, wonderful tropical feeling of Singapore and reunited with a great friend,
It was a New Year's Eve to be remembered!!
The next morning (or perhaps afternoon) we awoke to a beautiful day, and a gorgeous view from our hotel:
Singapore spread before us just waiting to be explored!
I adored putting on a summer dress, no more cold freezing coats for this girl (at least for this week) and slathering on the sunscreen!
This was one gorgeous place...
With Two Beautiful ladies ready to take on the day:)
