So I hope you’re up, girl,
'Cause we are all coming over
Lock the doors, lower the blinds
Fire up the smoke machine and put on your heels
'Cause I know exactly what we need!
'Cause we are all coming over
Lock the doors, lower the blinds
Fire up the smoke machine and put on your heels
'Cause I know exactly what we need!
Let's have a kiki
I wanna have a kiki
Lock the doors- tight!
We're gonna serve,
And work,
and hon-hon-honey!
What's better than rallying for a Lady's Night Out? Not much I gather, especially with lady-friends like mine!
With Christie in town, a new blouse to show off, and an exciting neighborhood to strut around, we called up Victoria, and kiki time was on!
Stop 1: Queen's Head Pub
We ordered the dark, delectable stout and got settled into our trio for the evening. With Victoria along, we swapped stories and I smiled as Christie and V chatted up a storm, I pretty much LOVE it when my world's collide. I have talked about V to C, C to V, and it was awesome to share them both at the same time!
Cheers!
And yes, that is the debut of my cutie new 60's-esque blouse;)
A photo collage from the talented V, find more of her gorgeous work at Victoria Dawn Photography!
Stop 2: Poot. Not really Poot, but I can't remember the name...
Only that it was a very cool underground feeling rock bar that was PACKED with foreigners like ourselves. A huge screen lit up the back wall with music videos streaming. Each table was given a tablet that you could request songs on, in hopes your video would rock on next!
We loved the vibe, and took in all the decor, and loved the Irish accents floating from one table, English from another, American from ours, it was a grab-bag of expats finding a little home-away from home.
We shared a beer or two more..
Then decided to head out the door!
But not before I caught one of my fave bands, The Beatles, and Christie getting ready to strike out into the night air~
Goodbye cool record club;)
Our Kiki may have continued, but these chic wives don't dance and tell;)
A kiki is a party for calming all your nerves,
We’re spilling tea and dishing just deserts one may deserve.
We’re spilling tea and dishing just deserts one may deserve.
And though the sun is rising, few may choose to leave,
So shade that lid and we'll all bid adieu to your ennui.
So shade that lid and we'll all bid adieu to your ennui.
~Lyrics from Scissor Sisters
